Why was Golovkin willing to move up to 168 for Chavez Jr but not for Andre Ward?

GGG is fighting at MSG, so is Geale lol congratulations. Ward can sit back for a while, at the current level GGG is fighting at he would probably need to fight another 2 years before he would be more remembered than Ward. We can talk about facts all day but I don't want to change the original topic of the thread

The problem you have is that you don't want your boy to lose and you hope that Ward will become irrelevant so he doesn't have to fight him but it's not going to happen.
"GGG is ducking me" - is the only way Ward can try to stay relevant and remind everyone that he's alive. If not his constant whining how he's being ducked while he "sits back a while" for almost a year, no one would talk about him. Happy retirement Ward.

    • Lol, when you run out from normal arguements you bringing up that GGG has more exciting style for the crowds and he hasn't got promoter issues like Ward.
And some comments ask "Ward who?". I tell you, he is the best 168 pounder who has a way better resume than Golovkin and he is widely recognized as the #2 boxer p4p like it or not. That's who he is. A little more respect please... I guess you're not casuals, so technically you should look at their level of opponents and how good they are not that who can sold more ticket. Or you think by the logic: sells more ticket --> better fighter? If you base on that logic than Chavez Jr is the best 168 pounder in the world...
I know, "inactive doe..." but STILL widely recognized as p4p #2 while Golovkin will get his most serious opponent just this saturday and he is still not an A side fighter. Maximum B+ but I doubt it.

Run out of arguments? There are like a dozen of threads which start "It's ok to fight Chavez at 168 but not Ward, GGG is ducking Ward". I don't think you guys make these threads to discuss fighters. You want to troll I'm all yours.

Btw, Ward is the biggest hypocrite who called Chavez Jr "a very good fight" when thought he might get the fight and then accused Froch on cherrypicking when realised he wasn't getting the fight. He makes it difficult to respect him.
