Super middleweight prospect Gilberto Ramirez stopped Australia's Junior Talipeau in the opening round of their chief support bout. Ramirez, a rising knockout artist from Mexico who is being groomed for title contention, dropped Talipeau three times before the mismatch was mercifully halted at 1:58 of round one.
