Foreman is more accepted by mainstream America.........than both of them combined.

Right about that....only problem is......the civil rights movement did not occur untill the early 60's.

So theoretically crossing the "racial divide" was not possible untill Foreman's time.

Joe was still a "Porch Monkey" to mainstream America.....which obviously was sad.....because he was a great guy.

You cant leave RAY LEONARD out of that.. he crossed over way before Foreman... SRL did 70up commercials etc.. had more white fans than black fans.. he was in mainstream magazines on a regular basis.. even tons of white celebs were all over him including Chevy Chase and guys like that.

Very true my grandfather is 82 and loves Joe Louis , hates Sonny Liston and thinks Ali is a circus side show.
