Comments Thread For: Peter Fury: Chisora Won't Last Beyond Eight Rounds

For the past two years, Peter Fury has used an iron fist to transform nephew Tyson from a playboy into a serious player in the upper echelons of heavyweight boxing.

The reformed con and ex-pro has drawn huge plaudits for developing both the frame and the brain of the outrageously gifted 6ft 9in traveler from Wilmslow.

‘Uncle Pete’ knows that a crushing repeat win over European champion Dereck Chisora at Manchester’s Phones 4u Arena on Saturday 26th July will almost certainly cement a challenge for one of the four major world heavyweight belts. [Click Here To Read More]

I hope the referee will stop Fury from elbowing, holding and punching behind the head.

Haha who is the guy who wrote the main article?

Peter Fury trained Tyson with an iron fisdt

As if we can't see Fury's training video's that Peter puts up.

His training actual boxing training/coaching is likely very good to be sure,

In terms of S&C though I think Peter is very lacking.

Fury needs to be humbled by Vladimir soon.

You could say the same thing vice versa, as Chisora is a very dirty fighter. This fight will be dirty as hell, I actually think one guy might get DQed.

                Why would you say that?

I think the strength and condition training is one of Fury's strongest assets. But Peter Fury is an underrated trainer - just because he hasn't had many pro's yet.

Look at Hughie Fury's early fights. When he was fresh. He has the Peter Fury style that you also see with Young Hughie Fury and Tyson now.

What your trying to say is that Peter Fury incorporates a lot of S&C into Tyson's workouts which we can see on video.

That doesn't mean they are good. I've seen Fury run, not impressive.

I've seen him doing some forms of crossfit style ****, and weight lifting and other exercises that really aren't that sport specific.

I do think Peter Fury is a good trainer, but I think he could use a more specialised team.

Well in all honesty, watching 2 minute clips doesn't really give you an idea about what Peter is doing for 8 weeks?

Eddie Chambers said Fury was the best all-round coach he's had - and he's had some very respectable trainers in his career. I'll take that word over yours.
