I doubt this happens BUT if he's going to fight in New York, why Maidana and not Cotto? Cotto/Mayweather at MSG would be unbelievable. Fighting on a Mexican holiday vs. a non-Mexican opponent in New York really makes no sense. He could wait a month or 2 and fight Cotto.

I think it's this, Floyd simply refuses to fight Manny and he knows if Cotto/Canelo gets made for May, there is no one he can fight that will make him the draw over those two. Unless it's Manny of course but we know Floyd will never fight him.

Floyd's moves have nothing to do with Manny. Arum already said there's no chance of a fight as long as Floyd is on Showtime. HBO gave Arum money to resign Manny so they own his ass.
