Comments Thread For: Khan: Pacquiao Slowing Down, I Want To Beat Him!

Welterweight contender Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs) is focused right now on fighting his former Wild Card stablemate, WBO champion Manny Pacquiao. The two boxers trained, and sparred together, for several years when Freddie Roach was their mutual trainer. Khan has since switched trainers to Virgil Hunter.

Because Floyd Mayweather Jr. is planning to fight on September 13th, and that date doesn't work for Khan's schedule, the British star wants to fight Pacquiao, who returns in late November.

khan has the biggest ego in the sport.

he beats a very slow, very inactive, and past prime collazo and that makes him think he can hang with guys like pacquiao and mayweather? hahahahaha

i'd like to see him fight thurman next or the winner of brook vs porter.

What's with this generation of fighters saying, ''So and so is slowing down, I want a crack at him''?

So with Floyd and Manny you are hoping they are past prime enough that you can beat them...then you would run and brag like you beat them in their prime??? this guy is an idiot

If Arum and Oscar can't make this fight happen, then the cold war will never end! There is no opponent at TR that can attract viewers for a PPV event more than Khan (with the exception of JMM). Make it happen!

He wouldn't be the first fighter to gain fame by beating a fighter that is past their prime. It's still the best fight out there for Manny besides JMM 5. Marquez wants 50/50, I'm sure Khan will be fine with $5 million plus a portion of PPV. Make it happen!

I would love for this fight to happen! Speed vs speed! Khan has a glass chin but Pacman has not KO'd anyone since 2009. I guess we'll see a good strategic match. Khan can match Pacman's speed. Pacman should should beat Khan in an exciting match!!
