Former amateur standout Ramón Luis will make his pro debut July 10th in Miami, according to Jay Jimenez, CEO of King Kong Boxing who signed the boxer following his defection from Cuba earlier this year.
His debut comes on the undercard of the super featherweight title fight rematch between Argenis Mendez and Rances Barthelemy. The show airs live on Fox Sports 1 from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, though Luis isn’t scheduled to appear on the telecast.
With the latest signing, Jimenez adds to a growing stable that also includes heavyweight prospect Luis Ortiz. In Luis, the promoter has a potential star in the light heavyweight division. Both fighters in Miami under the careful watch of Herman Caicedo.
"We just signed Ramon Luis and hopefully very soon, other talented fighters will join us– not just from Cuba but from all countries,” notes Jimenez. “We have huge plans for Ramón Luis and his debut on July 10th is just the beginning." [Click Here To Read More]
