Comments Thread For: Algieri Eyes Mayweather: He's The Goal For Everyone!

Long Island native Chris Algieri, coming off last week’s shocking upset win over reigning WBO champion Ruslan “The Siberian Rocky” Provodnikov at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center, is taking some time off as his badly damaged eye heals up. Algieri has several options for his future, and is rumored to be on a short list to face Manny Pacquiao in November, a fight Top Rank’s Bob Arum seems very interested in making. Algieri has also expressed interest in unification bouts with both reigning Jr Welterweight kingpin Danny Garcia, and IBF Jr Welterweight beltholder Lamont Peterson.

    lol

come on.. you're too skilled and not enough of a fan base to have mayweather consider you.. lets remember.. he takes credit for the cotto, dlh, hatton, canelo ppvs.. but when he's in there with boxers who aint stars or have a fan base.. i.e. guerrero, maidana, baldonmir.. he either don't mention them or blames the flop on them.. ha ha!!

algieri has 0 to no fanbase outside of Brooklyn.. plus he's half way tall decent boxer.. which mayweahter would not want any piece of it.. it's gonna be maidana because of the lack of skills and public interest.. cotto wont give him no more catch shyt.. and he wont fight pac.. regardless of what anyone says..

I thought he beat Provo on the night but

Clearly Ruslan's head shots messed this guy up big time because he is now completely crazy. 8 rounds of great boxing against a guy who says he can't fight movers doesn't put you in the mix for Pacquiao let alone HayWeather. ***** please. At least it better not.
