    Golden Boy Promotions Vice President Eric Gomez is confident that IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter will defend his title against mandatory challenger Kell Brook of the UK. Porter (24-0-1, 15 KOs) and Brook (32-0, 22 KOs) had a tentative date of August 9th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. That date is now off and a new date is being finalized.
