  • Comments Thread For: Team Porter: No Contract From Kell Brook, He is Stalling!

Earlier today Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn tweeted that his fighter Kell Brook had signed his contract for a summer showdown against IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter.

According to Hearn, they are just waiting on Golden Boy Promotions to announce the date the fight will take place. August 9th was the date originally targeted with the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY hosting the fight.

Shawn Porter is a liar. Neither he or any of his team ever wanted this fight and the Malignaggi fight was simply a way of stalling it even further. Young Ezekiel has been in training for two months and is ready to do the business.

I dont for one second believe its Kell Brook. Him, his trainer and his promoter have been vocal about being in great shape and wanting the fight.

I've heard Shawn Porter mention Kell in passing a bunch of times as if he'd already beat him.
