Former middleweight champion Felix Sturm has passed on the opportunity of an IBF middleweight eliminator. The sanctioning body offered the German a fight for a shot at world champion Sam Soliman.

"We ordered an eliminator between Sturm and Curtis Stevens," IBF Championships Chairman Lindsey Tucker said to the German magazine SPORT BILD PLUS. "But Sturm informed us that he would not take the fight. He is injured.“

Didn't HBO already pass on N'Dam/Stevens now it could be a prelude to a title wonder if they pick it up now or does NBCsports try and nab it.

They r clever in rejecting this eliminator. The mandatory will not be due til next year so they will wait til next year for a shot. Murrays team are tryna offer soliman big money for a shot in a fall. Curtis stevens will knock out lemeuix. Curtis stevens is a chin checker and lemeuix has been stopped twice. And his chin aint too good.
