IBF cruiserweight champion Yoan Pablo Hernandez (28-1) will defend the title against Firat Arslan (34-7-2) on August 16 in Erfurt writes Bild Zeitung. It will be Hernandezīs first fight since November of last year and that in turn was his first fight since September 2012. The layoffs are all due to injuries and illness.

The sauerlands are disgraceful. They put on some terrible fights. Why is arslan gettin another world title shot. Two in one year some fighters get two title fights their whole career.

This is everything that is wrong with a sport that allows four to seven fighters to call themselves "champion" so fat fu cks can fill their pockets with sanctioning fees earned by fighters. I totally dig Arslan but he's 43 and got KO'd badly in his last legitimate fight. So, of course, that makes him eligible to fight for another sanctioning body's title. BS

Hernandez is always getting hurt or ill takes loads of time off only to come back to these types fights of late btw whatever happened to Troy Ross did he retire or get lost in the Yukon or at sea.
