    Lets talk Keith Thurman...

How do you see his potential and talent level?

He's obviously a very good fighter, HBO and promotional companies have pushed many fighters before us in recent years with obvious flaws, for example, Andre Berto I always knew would never be the real deal. Adrien Broner while clearly a better boxer than Berto, has also been hyped up to levels he can not possibly reach.

So Thurman? Do you see him as a mainstay in the division for the next 10 years? Potentially better than the likes of Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, or even Floyd Mayweather? Where do you see him going from here? He certainly has a loaded division which could propel him to the highest echelon.

I see him as being far more talented than Berto & Broner, without a shadow of a doubt. He's way better than Berto and has a good head on his shoulders, unlike Broner. I see him developing into a real killer, and he's already very dangerous.

Agreed with a few additional comments ....

Thurman has performed as expected against C-level opponents.

Thurman also, shows early signs of falling in love with his power and historically that will be to his detriment. I'm still looking forward to seeing him in the ring with a talented boxer that knows how to offset power with technique. Because so far, Thurman has gotten by on brute force alone, due to the level of competition put in front of him.

Once Thurman is put in the ring with better opposition, fans will be in a better position to evaluate his potential. Any evaluation based on what he's done to date would be premature and incomplete.

I see him reaching the top, atleast for a brief stint. But he will definitely make it to the top as most good fighters do. Will he be great? Only time will tell.

Diego Chaves btw is far more of a fighter than he's getting credit for, he will prove it vs Rios.

I'm sold, like how he attacks the body with a lot of commitment. Love how after he gets tagged, what looks to be him going in panic mode to some, is actually his over anxiousness to run his opponents into counters as they aggressively move forward. Like his patience as well, how he'll move around you until the right angles present itself.

Although I really enjoy his unique style, I am a fan, I'm a bit worried about the way he leaves his chin out there at times. Thurman isn't oblivious to him doing that because when it appears his opponents have a free shot, Thurman is seen turning with the punches, so Keith is more defensively responsible than it appears. Chin is still questionable but his ability to recover looked to be pretty good.

he blinks when he gets tagged, a sign that he doesn't like to take a good shot

He needs to clean up how wild he gets. He gets too excited sometimes.

I think he's a pretty good fighter and is in the conversation for best of the rest at welterweight besides Mayweather and Pacquiao.
