Comments Thread For: Amir Khan: Fitch Needs To Be Hard on Froch and Groves

WBC silver welterweight champion Amir Khan salutes the promotional decision to have a neutral referee for Saturday's rematch between British super middleweight rivals Carl Froch and George Groves, taking place before a crowd of 80,000 fans at London's Wembley Stadium. New Yorker Charlie Fitch is the referee that both fighters are going to have to deal with on fight night.

Khan said to Sky Sports: "When you've got two English guys and people know Froch - he is a bigger name - it's going to be very hard to have a British ref. I think it's best to go Stateside and get one of the big guys in.

This fellow automatically irritates at any level of conversation but he should know about pushing and shoving as he is the master of this foul! Go and fight a contender Khan and stop being a nuisance.

It could be the chuckle brothers refereeing for all I care but there was so much on both sides, Carl with his hitting on the break and the back of the head, George a couple of times rolling his head into Carl's face when they were up close, they both know the score. Roll on fight night!

I have respect for Khan, but his opinions are deffective. He is self centered and blind to his own limitations. He needs a muscle man ref for all the holding and running that he does. He thinks those funny wins, where he gets staggered and chased, like a rabbit, to the final bell, make him desirable. Not as a champ, Khan.

I mean this is gold considering Amir "Wlad" Khan's last fight.
