Duran was KO'd by Hearns, but NEVER rendered unconscious.

The thing is how long do you think they have to be unconscious for it to count?

Duran's eye were closed and he fell face first into the canvas without trying to stop his fall. He was obviously unconscious during his fall. Hitting the canvas might have woken him up a bit, but Hearns knocked him unconscious
