Have Al Haymon and Mayweather formed there own version of UFC???

It seems to me that Haymon and Mayweather Promotions are coping what UFC has done. I believe you will see Golden Boy and Top Rank merge sort of speak to stay relevant. It obvious Richard Schaefer has seen his last days with GBP and will no doubt join Haymon and Mayweather.

Agree with most of what you Saying, Ive said it for awhile that this is how it's going to go down. Don't know if it'll be successful and it's probably a bit aways

but if You look at the landscape right now from 140-154 they have almost all the big names and all of the belts minus I think the WBO. They have the same thing in the LHW controlling 3/4 belts I think except WBO. They have a wildcard stake in the HW with Wilder

This leaves cruiser weight division available which has no real fan appeal,

160-168 GGG, Chavez ( potentially leaving TR), Martinez (Old on his way out) Ward ( Who knows when hes fivhting and who'll be his promoter) are the n
Recognizable names that seem to be attached to HBO Minus the Europeans ( Sturm, Froch,Groves,Geale, Kessler) who I don't think are attached exclusivly to HBo. Haymon/ Gb have Quillen and Bika holing belts though.

This leaves the 122-135 Remaining a harder weight division to sell and TR/HBO GB/Haymo seem about even as far as star power
TR has Rigo ( who TR doesn't even want or respect) Nonito, Crawford, Gamboa & Garcia ( Trying to break TR contract )

GB/ Haymon got Mares, Santa Cruz, Ponce and FigUeroa

If rumors turn out to be true ( Garcia, Ward, Chavez ) could all potentially leave TR/ HBO leaving the Recognizable names ( Manny, JMM, Bradley, GGG, Kovelev, Martinez. and half of those names are on the way out.

If all the dominoes fall in order TR/ HBo might not have much of anything to work with in the future

    Sorry for the novel.

Mayweather doesn't have a promoter's license so Haymon would be screwed without GB. Since he's an adviser/manager, he's not allowed to be a promoter so it's all kind of a moot point right now. $0.50 has a promoter's license but his relationship with Floyd is messed. It looks like that's what they are trying to do but I think Oscar woke up in time to stop them, and Kathy is also throwing a wrench in there with her lawsuit.

      We'll see

Yeah, I kinda think that to, but I don't think they will go full blown UFC and have their own belts, I think they will still use the sanctioning bodies

They do not have the money though. Or do you guys still think everyone works for them for free?

Agree but I don't think Oscar woke up in time, he woke up but I don't see him holding much power I personally think the ships sailed for Oscar, If he somehow get through this with a decent amount of power and controll I'd be shocked. I'm a Oscar hater but you'd have to give him credit for that because it doesn't look to good for him.

Agree you can't have a Mayweather belt that would be a joke but maybe when the dust settles They endorse 1 or 2 as their own ( Mayweather seems to like the green WBC )

Al Haymon is a wealthy dude.

Considering how quiet Scaefer has been, it seems like he woke up just in time.

That's just my take anyway, everyone is just kind of waiting for the next piece to fall
