Comments Thread For: Danny Green vs. Anthony Mundine Rematch in Talks?

According to a report from the Sunday Telegraph, there have been discussions regarding a potential rematch between Anthony Mundine and Danny Green. The paper says Mundine’s agent Khoder Nasser had lunch with Green last Thursday and the idea of a rematch was discussed.

They fought eight years ago and Mundine won a clear decision. Their bout is considered by many as the biggest fight in Australian boxing history and a rematch is still believed to be a major business draw in the country.

'Dream machine' still dreaming, it's cute lol, you lost, get over it. Not exactly sure why they're pretending they are gonna fight, any weight they agree on will be a massive disadvantage to one or the other, at this point i dont think the Aussie fans even care enough to make it anywhere near the big event that they hope it would be, can't see it happening.

WTF is Green talking about? He didn't drop down for their first fight. They fought at super middleweight, the same division Green had fought at for most of his career up to that point. It was only after that fight that he moved up. His choice of opposition has never been better than Mundine's either. The only really good fighters Green fought he lost to. His win over Jones was just as insignificant as Mundine's win over Mosley.

Mundine was drained at jnr middle, but I don't think it'd be a good idea for him to go above 168.

Exactly, Super middleweight was both their divisions, they fought at the weight they were suppose to fight. I dont get how he has convinced people that weight was the issue.
