To those of you that are saying the rematch will do good numbers, I'm just curious as to why you think this. I'm not dis*****g it, but I just want to hear the reasons.

Cause it was an entertaining and close fight. Now they can market maidana as the guy who gave floyd the closest fight in a long time. Also floyd seemed to have declined a bit making it more intriguing as it might be his time to lose.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Danny and Lucas rematch on the undercard. Someone else suggested Abner and Jhonny aswell.

A rematch with maidana could be a herd sell, so a night of rematches could make it more interesting.

A Maidana rematch would be my bet. I wouldn't mind seeing Khan get a crack if he has another good win. His style could give Floyd problems.

We've known this for months now.

The rematch is going to be either Maidana or Cotto I believe.

Once Cotto get's destroyed, they'll announce Maidana 2.

Chimo has just said two things:

              1) He doesn't know if they can arrive in time to the September date. It could be 2015.

              2) They want to invite Floyd to fight in Argentina.

I only like rematches if there's a real "anything could happen" feeling based on the first fight. It just isn't there. Maidana obviously threw Mayweather off early in the fight and possibly hurt him but after that Mayweather found rhythm and started potshotting his way to victory. The rematch will just take up where they left off. Maidana's element of surprise is gone.

Also factor in how many people are saying Showtime lost money on the Maidana fight, won't they have a say in doing it a second time?

I don't like Khan he acts like a little boy and panics when fights get tough but I would have thought he's the best opponent for Mayweather right now (in reality, AKA when you ignore the guys who Mayweather is clearly afraid of).

I thought Floyd would avoid Khan again, he already established the pattern of avoidance back when he ducked Khan and fought Maidana instead. It's unlikely he'll ever be prepared to face Khan.
