Comments Thread For: Jennings-Perez Could Land on Golovkin Card, 7/26

BoxingScene.com has been advised that Bryant Jennings (18-0, 10KOs) vs. Mike Perez (20-0-1, 12KOs) could potentially take place on July 26th at Madison Square Garden in New York. The card will be headlined by WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin, who is likely going to face Daniel Geale - if the WBA sanctions the fight.

Guess it all hinges on who fights 7/26

Is Jennings from the East Coast? Still don't think this is enough to open the full garden.

Put Dusty back on an untelevised slot... brings some people from the DMV.

I guess that explains the severity of Mike's shoulder injury. I was wondering how bad it was. Not terrible, apparently.

Hahaha. Right. I wonder how Macklin and DiBella feel about this. Certainly called it. Peter Quillin should fight Macklin.

Would like to see him fight Macklin, but all he does is call him out and then say Macklin is ducking him

The Jennings fight was originally scheduled for an earlier date, but it was cancelled because Mike suffered a shoulder injury during training. I don't recall reading any more details than that. But if the fight has been rescheduled for July, it would appear the injury wasn't that bad.
