    The heavily hyped Matt Korobov will finally make his HBO debut.

    The 2008 Olympian from Russia will face undefeated Mexican Jose Uzcategui on June 28 in the televised opener to Terence Crawford's title defense against Yuriorkis Gamboa, Top Rank VP Carl Moretti announced via Twitter on Thursday.

        I think I've seen just the one Korobov fight, on the Pacquiao-Hatton undercard. He was getting Golovkin-like hype on here about 4 years ago. What happened? Is he not the Second Coming anymore?

            Definitely. As a prospect Uzcategui from Venezuela (22-0 with 18KO) is on par with BJ Sanders, Jacobs, and Lemieux. Very good fight.

              This is a huge step up for Korobov, Uzce is a solid prospect and a pretty big guy. I didnt know he was mexican tho, thought he was from south american

                Article is wrong he lives in Mexico but is from Venezuela he wears the flag on his shorts.

                  No conspiracy Macklin clearly doesn't want to fight Korobov.
                  He looks good. Glad it wasn't Macklin. We need some fresh blood.
