Comments Thread For: Showtime Sports, Mayweather Pact Claims Sports Emmy

It’s been a hell of a stretch for Floyd Mayweather and for Showtime, one that was capped with both parties involved in the only boxing-related award issued during the 35th Annual Sports Emmy® Awards ceremony Tuesday evening in New York City.

Showtime was honored in the category of Outstanding Edited Sports Event Coverage, for its efforts behind All Access: Mayweather/Canelo Epilogue, the final part of the All Access series surrounding Mayweather’s win over Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez last September. The Epilogue edition touched on the actual fight itself as well as the aftermath, as Mayweather dominated the previously unbeaten 154 lb. titlist, only to be forced to settle for a majority decision.

Cong**** to the producers of all access, showtime and floyd. Floyd's got an emmy for both 24/7 and all access. Nice.

Absolutely. The production team and everyone behind the scenes do an incredible job especially with the scoring and editing. It also helps that Floyd's personality shines and draws interest.

          Cong**** all around but

Schreiber is peerless as a narrator for a pre-fight reality series. SHO has experimented and settled on pepper, who's ok. I just hope Liev's ray Donovan work for SHO doesn't somehow get him excluded from future 24/7 work for HBO. I'd hate to have to read threads on the Schreiber Cold War.

Also, please note that all access is only good to the extent it mimics 24/7. Wheb showtime tried to go its own way they vomited up fight camp 360.

            Isn't Floyd basically executive producer?

He is. I believe he fed them, story lines, ideas, and shot angles.

You didn't like Fight Camp? I thought it was awesome. It had production from the NFL.
