Comments Thread For: Arreola Admires Vitali, Hopes To Fight Wladimir Klitschko

Vitali Klitschko gave Chris Arreola his first world title shot nearly five years ago.

The former WBC heavyweight champion inadvertently granted Arreola his second title shot when he retired, too. Arreola (36-3, 31 KOs) would’ve preferred an eventual rematch with Klitschko, but the colorful contender from Riverside, Calif., appreciates another chance to win the WBC heavyweight crown in a rematch against Bermane Stiverne (23-1-1, 20 KOs) on Saturday night at USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles (ESPN; 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT). He also admires Klitschko’s choice to walk away from boxing to pursue political aspirations in his native Ukraine.

Arreola may be fat, but he is certainly not unskilled. To me, his biggest problem has always been his lack of dedication to getting in shape. Hopefully, he will come to his future fights in shape as he was when he destroyed Seth Mitchell.

arreola would never be inshape anyway it would not be normal for him, he's at his ideal shape, the thing is he's going to get outboxed again cause he's too slow at cutting the ring off, and stiverne is a bit upright and afraid to trade but he has the speed and reach to get a decision.

Arreola was one of Vitali's best wins.

This exactly. Arreola is a beast, he just lazy ass in the gym and balloons in weight in between fights. He needs the right dedication NOW to beat Stiverne.
