MGM Grand, Las Vegas, NV- BoxingScene.com and other members of the media caught up with former junior welterweight champion Amir Khan shortly after his "Grand Arrival" ceremony at the MGM Grand to officially kick off fight week.

Khan faces the resurgent Luis Collazo in the chief support bout underneath the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana main event. Collazo has four fights in a row since losing to Freddy Hernandez in 2011. His most recent victory was an upset knockout of former champion Victor Ortiz that took place in January.

Oritz quit after he felt that Collazo shot land, he would have quit against anyone who landed a decent shot on his broken jaw - it just happened to be Collazo this time around. Could have really been anybody beating Ortiz that night in his comeback fight. All you had to do was land one decent shot and Ortiz was bound to get disheartened and quit.

I would't read to much into an Ortiz stoppage. Victor basically gives up or gets his ass knocked out on purpose.

The Collazo fight he had all his faculties in order after the knockdown. He made a decision not to continue.
