Comments Thread For: Chris Arreola Claims He's Training Like Never Before

We've heard it over and over again: "Chris Arreola will be in shape this time."

And while Arreola has gotten into better shape, at least by his standards, he hasn't been able to get into prime fighting shape.

However, with now two losses tacked on his ledger, he says this time actually is different. Arreola claims he's putting in work like never before in advance of his May 10 WBC heavyweight title fight with Bermane Stiverne, a man whom he was handled by in April 2013.

Hopefully he continues to get and keep his weight down so his camps and be a little more focused on technique, strategy and skill rather than working off between fight weight gains.

He's one of those fighters the division needs badly.

The division doesn't need him. Stiverne showed his worth... as have other's.

the scale doesn't lie. arreola is still too heavy. he should be 230 lbs or less. he needs to eat well in addition to training. he needs to stay eating well when he's not training for a fight.

          little hope for arreola remains.

this guy has never once looked in top shape for a fight
every fight he's had palpably loose flesh on him
he might look better in some fights than others, but that's all
not buying any more "new, improved" crap from Arreola
the guy just is who he is

Yeah, We've heard this before.... but we all know he's his own enemy because he always talks the talk but looks horrible. The guy doesn't want it. If he did he would like like Wlad or at least Vitaly. I'll still support him though... Maybe one day he will shine?
