Exactly. As I've said before it's all good and well saying you want to fight bigger names for bigger money. That should really be expected. But the real test of his character will be when he's at the summit. Will he want to take on risky challenges then when he has a lot more to lose than he does to gain?
How can anyone hate Keith's "take on all comers attitude"?

The only reason people dislike Keith is because they know he's coming for their favourite fighters.
He's a very likable guy and a smooth talker.
Thurman can only beat what's put in front of him. The likes of Porter, Maidana, Guerrero, Pauli etc have turned him down.
Also, why is Diaz all of a sudden seen as a bum? The guy has given Porter and Khan tough fights recently, he's a solid veteran.Comment

Diaz was the most legit B-side on the card before last night IMO. Too bad he offered the least resistance. Belmontes should have walked away with the strap but you have to blame him for not throwing punches at the end, he was fighting as if he was champion. Matthysse-Molina was bloody fun.Comment

Ok, I'm confuse. When Diaz gave Amir trouble he is a good contender, he got stopped in 3 rounds, he iss an ok boxer. So which is which? Damn, give the man his due. No one wants to fight Keith, high risk, low reward. He wants to take on the best out there and no one wants to give him a shot.GBP is doing a great job building him up. Sad thing is I don't think he will be ready for Floyd before he retires at this rate. Because he's not going to get a meaniful fight until Showtime proves their ready to invest in him.
Showtime is going to have to pony up enough scratch so that he's worth the risk to top contenders. Diaz was in there for a paycheck. Not saying he took a dive but he's no where near elite. But anyways once Showtime starts putting up big money Thurman won't have any trouble landing fights.Comment

His not tho , look he was callout by the IBF #2 @147 but his team when with Diaz
In a recent BoxingScene.com interviews, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer stated that it's getting harder to secure opponents for undefeated welterweight puncher Keith Thurman (22-0, 20KOs). Schaefer wants to bring Thurman back on April 26th in a Showtime televised fight from the StubHub Center in Carson, California.Comment

I just been reading some hate towards Keith lately, before his interview praising or mentioning PAC name that's when the hates starts pouring in. Before that interview a lot if not majority I've read here in NSB was praising him, and now I've read that he is nothing but a hype job, fake, overrated, and so on. The guy can fight and with good mechanics, boxing fundamentals, and big power in both hands. Dude get dazed and still fights back not like some other that will cover up, or clinch, or run away to clear their head. Not him, you hurt him, he'll put your a55 on the canvas. I don't understand why so much hate towards him when it's not his fault why his opponents can't last 12 rounds most of the time. He deserve the big matches and big payday.Comment
