Comments Thread For: Tramaine Williams Sentenced to 2.5 Years in Prison

Junior featherweight prospect Tramaine Williams — who had been arrested earlier this year just two days before he was to fight at Madison Square Garden — was sentenced today to two and a half years behind bars, according to Connecticut’s New Haven Register.

He was put in handcuffs in January and pleaded guilty in February to charges of possessing an assault weapon and possessing narcotics. Three months ago, police conducted raids on accused gang members and associates, and they went to a home Williams shared with others, finding a Tec-9 gun underneath his bed.

No remorse. You're lucky enough to be given the skillset and talent to be a Champion boxer and you piss it down the drain with this barbaric behaviour
So long ****head you deserve to be in prison.

I was just wondering about this kid. I remembered following his amateur career. These kids have to learn to make the sacrifices for their career and leave the streets alone.

Damn that sucks for him but he knew the risk. I met him and took some pictures when he fought on the undercard of Rios-Alvarado 2, seems like a nice enough dude. Hopefully he comes out having learned something and continues his boxing career.
