Following last Saturday's decision victory over Beibut Shumenov, IBF/WBA light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins (55-6-2, 32KOs) called for a catch-weight fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. (45-0, 26KOs). Mayweather holds titles at welterweight and junior middleweight, and walks around at 150-pounds between fights.

Bernard Hopkins in his prime would lose to Floyd Mayweather Jr. worst day. Bernard Hopkins is probably the MOST OVER RATED boxer of all time.

Oscar fought Bernard, so why not Floyd?

After Floyd beats Pacquiao, he might as well move up and finish his career with Bhop just to have another big name on his resume.

Funny How Leonard & Hearns Had The Ballz To Go To 175; Not Floyd

****** story stating just too much difference in weight to go fight a 49/50!year old Hopkins... When is the last time you heard someone share an excuse why ANYONE should avoid going up in weight to fight a 50 year old???? Because Bhop is still to good???? Leonard and Hearns went up to 175 to fight guys in their 30's. Leonard came off a 5 year retirement and NO tune up fight to climb in the ring with Marvin Hagler in Haglers prime at 160. Nobody has those kinds of ballz. Floyd won't go up and fight a 50 year old. LOL... For that matter, Floyd won't even fight Pacquiao at 147. What a puzz.

Floyd: "I respect Bernard, he's been in the game a long time. He's a young, hungry lion that I can't overlook. Listen, everyone wants a piece of Floyd Mayweather, but I am trained and focused on Marcos Maydenna."

Maybe because Oscar and B-Hop were in the same weightclass at the time?

Floyd's next fight is at 147 while B-Hop is fighting at 175, just a ridiculous and pointless match to discuss.
