If it's a group of guys hanging out that's different then. Personally I wouldn't do that either but that's just me. I can entertain myself just fine, I wouldn't want to spend time with people I don't really know.I was just saying that some places holding hands isn't gay; that I've been places where inviting people home is a lot more common and normal than it is here in the states. Maybe he didn't read it the same as we do. As of now - I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.
(referring back to my original post) jrrod02 made the point that there is a difference between groups of people and one-on-one. And, yes. In my case it was always a group of people and never one-on-one.Comment

Yes. In the states I would never do that either. But in a post (pages ago) I mentioned that while travelling in West Africa we were often invited to peoples homes in a way that never happens here.
The first time, if I wasn't with friends, who said this is normal I never would have. A couple of weeks later it was normal for me too.
I suppose this is like saying "hello" to strangers. I've gone to Austin, Tx and other places down south and people say hello. And I think "who the f**k are you and why are you talking to me." Then it becomes normal. I come back to the city say hello to someone in the elevator and they give me that "who the f**k are you look."Comment

Ouma has been in the US for about a decade. Not like he doesn't know what's up. Especially when a guy invites you back to his house (just the two of you) for a drink.Yes. Oh. Well that changes things a bit. I just went to boxrec and saw that he lives and trains in Florida and that he's fought about all his fights in the US since 1998.
In that case -- he's aware of what's normal here.Comment
