  • Comments Thread For: Demetrius Andrade: I'm The One To Beat Mayweather!

WBO junior middleweight champion Demetrius "Boo Boo" Andrade (20-0, 13KOs) is ready for his upcoming mandatory defense against Brian Rose (25-1-1, 7KOs) on June 14th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Andrade has some very hight expectations for himself. He believes two things - 1. that he will be the one to defeat pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. (45-0, 26KOs), and 2. He will be the one to take over when Mayweather walks away from the sport.

This guy is freaking hilarious. I watched an interview with him once, the guy has beaten absolutely no one and thinks he's the second coming of Muhammad Ali. Can't wait for him to get KTFO.

Andrade is too big for JMW as it is. He needs to worry about outgrowing that weight class and having to fight the big guys at 160. I like Andrade though.

Hope the Lion beats this guy, but it's a long shot.

I have said it for years now, he is about the worst match-up problem you could dream up for Floyd.

I usually see something like this and say stfu but he was way taller then Mayweather so this would be an interesting match up. The last time Mayweather fought someone a lot taller them him it was Corrales. The only thing I have not seen enough of Demetrius to make me believe in him.

Floyd would never fight him because of the height advantage. You know Floyd health first. Floyd may get hit a lot vs an opponent this taller and we know Floyd doesnt want to be hit.

Not much in it for Floyd, Andrade would have to make a name for himself and by the time that happens Floyd will probably be retired or Andrade will be at 160.

Ain't no one in boxing history that wants to fight a tall, quick southpaw, with huge range that loves to use his jab~ you don't fight that guy unless you have to would be what every boxing brain in history would tell you.
