Peter Quillin made another successful defense of his WBO middleweight title, but he wasn't impressive against Lukas Konecny on Saturday night.

Al Haymon, who represents Quillin, doesn't have many options for his fighter in house. The leading choice is Danny Jacobs, who called the action in Paulie Malignaggi's stead.

But there's also a few attractive options for Quillin who aren't Haymon guys, namely a matchup with Curtis Stevens.

Stevens would have more options at Middleweight. Quillin without a title would be stuck. Join K2

I did not understand that last sentence one bit. Not sure if it was written wrong or if it's too early to be on NSB

Well... we already knew they talked with them before they fought the Immortal.... and Quillin was saying Stevens should beat somebody of note....that's why he fought Konecny

It was "text shorthand" so it was a bit clunky, but I think what she meant was that normally she wouldnt have a problem giving GBP an option (or options) on Stevens next fight(s), but in THIS case she wouldnt do it because GBP has no more viable opponents at that weight.

At least thats the way I understood it..........

I think Rees was a much better opponent than Stevens.
