Comments Thread For: Donaire Starts Sparring For Vetyeka Title Showdown

Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire who is chasing a fifth world title when he battles WBA featherweight champion Simpiwe Vetyeka of South Africa in Macau on May 31, sparred for the first time after what he said was “a long, long time” at the famed ALA Gym in Cebu, today.

Donaire went three rounds with undefeated Cuban fighter Remy Aleye and told the Manila Standard “I feel great” but conceded that he felt “a little tired although my heart rate was good.”

dont be fooled by donaires "walk around weight", dude is a featherweight now and not even a big one.

donaire cant move up anything past 130 imo, he would get killed. his game is speed and countering, he doesnt have a frame like pacman that can fill out. literally the dude looks so frail, but packs such a big punch.
