If majority of his big wins have been against guys that don't belong in the weight then it's easy to tell his picking ways. I actually give him props when he fights guys his size(sometimes) and can understand going after the belt but you Hopkins stans make this fight out to be some "oh my god!" type of shit.

What are you even talking about? At light heavyweight he has fought Dawson, Pascal, Tavoris Cloud and now Shumenov. Those are all top names at 175, how is that being an opportunist?

You say Adonis sucks so who the hell else do you want him to fight? The only one left is Kovalev and he's tied to HBO.

Hopkins only took the Dawson fight after Chad looked bad against Pascal. Pascal is also a 6 round fighter, that's why Hopkins risked that one. Cloud has been so overrated, he's a Murat level fighter.. Shumenov isn't much good either, has a bogus belt like Cloud did from a previous robbery. Hopkins, being as good as he is, deserves credit for making these fools look bad(save for Dawson) but don't pretend like those fights aren't calculated risks either.
