Former foes become friends in training. Polish contender Andrzej Fonfara (25-2, 15 KOs) was trading leather in camp with WBA light heavyweight champion Gabriel Campillo (22-6, 9 KOs). The actually faced each other in the ring last August, which Fonfara won by knockout, and now the Polish boxer is going to challenge WBC champion Adonis Stevenson (23-1, 20 KOs) in a Showtime televised main event on May 24th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

Remember watching Campillo take cloud to school. His chin held up there. I didn't watch campillo-fanfara but if he ko'd him he is dangerous imo.

Campillo was stopped with a pretty tasty bodyshot as I recall, but yeah, until then he was thoroughly outboxing Fonfara who just isn't that good IMO. I think Campillos chin has held up pretty well all in all - getting KOd by Kovalev hardly makes you chinny.

I see Fonfara vs Stevenson going something like the Bellew fight although I credit Fonfara with a bit more power than Bellew, and he might have a few moments.
