Comments Thread For: Cotto, Pacquiao Sparring in Camp is Ruled Out

According to Bryan Perez, Executive Director of Miguel Cotto Promotions, there wasn't and won't be any sparring between Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquiao. Cotto arrived a few weeks early to start his training camp at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, California. Cotto faces WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez on June 7th. Pacquiao returns this coming Saturday against WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Doesn't make sense to spar a 5'6 guy if your fighting a guy 5'10 anyway

I think Pac and Floyd will race to who will fight Middleweight champ Cotto (if Cotto wins).

Roach actually said no more gym wars for Manny anyways so not sure where that came from, at his stage he just needs to get his stamina/conditioning and speed up so he can terrorise Bradley every second of the fight.

Pacquiao and Cotto sparring is on and off more often than Ross and Rachel.

Floyd will, Pac won't. Pac is not going to fight Cotto at 154. He didn't even fight him @ 147 without a catch weight. Floyd beat him @ full 154, and a rematch will be bigger than the first if Cotto beats Martinez.

Haters gonna hate, No matter what. Anyways, Pac beats Cotto at any weight. Cotto can handle Pac's power but not his speed, quickness & awkwardness. Watch slowmo replays of their fight. Pac's handspeed was tooooo much for Cotto to handle.
