Comments Thread For: Escalante Gears Up For Tough Title Defense With Ruiz

Bruno Escalante faces a tough battle when he defends his IBA super flyweight title against hard-hitting Victor Ruiz at the Cache Creek Casino in Brooks, California on Sunday, Manila Time.

Ruiz has an impressive record of 9 knockouts in 12 wins with just 2 losses, one of them at the hands of newly crowned WBO minimumweight champion Francisco Rodriguez Jr of Mexico who won the title from the Philippines Merlito “Tiger” Sabillo in an inexplicably one-sided bout last March 22.

Ronnie, darn it all. There is no such thing as an inexplicable loss. Pinoys lose all the time, don't take it so hard. Turn that whine down.

This guy Ronnie always bring the most irrelevant articles. The guy loves to exaggerate (i.e. "fighter of the decade") and report useless information (such as "Manny went to McDonalds", "Nonito bought a new car", etc.) and now this info about a minor title such as IBA (I thought it was about Antonio Escalante and Hugo Ruiz who are better known). The only reason he wrote this piece is because Escalante is from Philippines.
