  • Comments Thread For: Braehmer: Calzaghe Sparring Won't Help Maccarinelli

Juergen Braehmer (42-2, 31 KOs) will make the first defense of his WBA World Light Heavyweight Title against Enzo Maccarinelli (38-6, 30 KOs) on April 5 in Rostock, Germany.

The reigning champion returns to Rostock for the first time since an ill-fated challenge for the WBA crown in 2008. With this defeat still fresh in his mind, Braehmer is adamant that history will not repeat itself when he faces Maccarinelli. [Click Here To Read More]

How can you not respect a warrior like Enzo. Been KOed so many times and not TKO, but KOed to the next week, yet decides to get up and continue on.

I do feel for his health, but i at the same time respect his will.

Both really. I hope he wins, too, he deserves to retire on a high.

They should have asked him if he wants to fight one of the other champions.

I would really love Enzo to win this one.

The thing is he is a genuine puncher so it is not like it's impossible.

Feel the same. Dude has been blasted out several times but he is still putting his body on the line to become champ again.

Honestly ENZO is not a the level of Braehmer and the germany is underrated because his past opponents IMO,he is much better and tough than people think but ENZO has a very good puncher chance in this division.

Well the interview was made by promotor Sauerland, so go figure.

Anyway Brahmer has a very good offense but he os somewhat lacking in the D. If Maccarinelli has anything left it could be a very good fight.

Should Brahmer win, I hope he aims higher for his next defense.
