  • Comments Thread For: Karim Mayfield to Gary Shaw: ‘Dulorme’s Been KO’d’

Karim Mayfield enters arguably the most high-profile fight of his career Saturday in Atlantic City against Thomas Dulorme on HBO’s “Boxing After Dark” series.

Sure, Mayfield (18-0-1, 11 KOs) has been on HBO before. In fact, the San Francisco native hung a wide decision loss on the network over Mauricio Herrera, who turned heads just two Saturdays ago with his spirited title challenge of junior welterweight world champion Danny Garcia. Bradley vs Mayfield would be a fun fight. There would be a lot head butts, rabbit punches, clinching, and sloppy punches. Mayfield would have to come off a big win first in order for Arum to even consider making that fight.

cant remember which fight it was that I say of Mayfield,i think it was on espn and his girlfriend or wife kept looking at the camera and holding up number one, that Mayfield is number one,and in that fight I wasn't really impressed with him,and back then I thought he was younger he's already like 32

Think Mayfield will win ,but Jesus, I did not know he was 33. What has he been doing for the last 10 years?

that's what got me the 1st time I saw May I thought to myself this young dude has potential then I saw how old he was already.. that's probably the main thing holding him back from future stardom that he's hard to promote because its not like he has a Country behind him like say Martinez who became a star in his mid 30's

Mayfield has fought a few guys with power but, not enough for me to be concerned or impressed by his record. Alot of "feather fisted" fighters on that record of his... Dulorme by KO in 7.
