Just as HBO began to fill up its spring boxing schedule, yet another vacancy surfaces.

The network is no longer committed to securing the rights for a May 24 fight between lineal light heavyweight king Adonis Stevenson and challenger Andrzej Fonfara. Whispers swirled the moment Stevenson signed with adviser Al Haymon earlier this year, competing the shift on Tuesday when a proposed increase in the already agreed upon license fee was rejected by HBO.

Damn there it is. Hbo prolly taking a stance saying there not gonna overpay for fights that don't benefit there long term plan. Scary seeing as the network really doesn't boxing. Not good.......

Good. Hbo not giving this guy a "significant increase", with no guarantee that he will fight the best. I wish all of boxing was like this. Maybe then would we see less quack quacking.

Well there you have it folks, Stevenson is officially ducking kovalev. It's been clear from the beginning he wants nothing to do with him, he was to scared to even mention his name during the post bellew interview.

Dont even bother bringing up stevenson-kovalev anymore, it's obvious hes gonna bring out the mayweather 101 list of excuses: showtime-hbo dispute, "who has he fought", blahblahblah.
