Philadelphia, PA: Roberto Acevedo (8-1-0, 5 KOs), the 27 year old sensation from Puerto Rico, who stunned the crowd at Resorts International Casino & Hotel with the first round knockout of Ilshat "The Sherriff" Khusnulgatin on January 24th, will make his Main Events debut on Friday, April 4th at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, PA against Lee Campbell (6-0-0, 3 KOs), 36, of Laurinburg, NC. In addition to making his Main Events debut, Acevedo will also make his Philadelphia debut.
Roberto is a fighter who has defeated all the odds. Doctors told him on two separate occasions (once after he suffered three gunshot wounds as the victim of a drive-by shooting and once after he was hit by a drunk driver) that he would never fight again. He came back after both injuries to then turn pro a few years later.
