Comments Thread For: Kid Galahad Aiming To Secure Quigg or Frampton Shot

Sheffield super-bantamweight Kid Galahad hopes to move into the world title reckoning by claiming the vacant European crown at the expense of Spaniard Sergio Prado in Sheffield on Saturday night.

The 24-year-old knows an impressive performance could help him force a fight with either Scott Quigg or Carl Frampton in what could be an enticing domestic showdown.

Galahad has won all 15 of his professional fights but struggled to impress last time out when he stopped Liverpool opponent James ****ens in the 10th round of their bout in Rotherham.

He certainly isn't 'all mouth' but he he does need to step up. The Jezza ****ins was a good indication at domestic level, but thats about it.

I'd actually pick him to beat Quigg.

But he is miles off Frampton's class. Karl is - Rigo aside - the worlds best super bantam, so if the Kid is to compete then that's the level he's aiming at.

      A tall order indeed.

He's the third best, behind Rigo and Leo Santa Cruz.

Not sold on Barry yet.....but there's no harm in shouting the odds and throwing your proverbial hat in the ring. He might land himself a nice title shot...although I think Frampton would be best avoided.

This guy tries wayy too hard to be in the Frampton/Quigg mix and he aint there for another year at the very least. He should defend the EBU belt 2/3 times (if he wins)before stepping up to World level because hes not a spectacular talent and should take his time.

He may not be the most likeable character, as with allot of Ingle gym fighters, but the boy sure can throw a punch, something which Frampton does do really well too, and Quigg can throw a punch swell, so put em all in for a scrap! Can't be nothing but fireworks with these 3!
