Historic Hialeah Park, "the world's most beautiful race course," will enter into a new and exciting era of sports entertainment when Warriors Boxing presents "Noche de Combates," a special edition of the popular ESPN Thursday Night Fights, on May 1, 2014 at this iconic South Florida venue.

According to promoter Leon Margules of Warriors Boxing, the ten-round welterweight main event that evening, matching accomplished veterans Roberto "La Amenaza" Garcia (34-3, 22 KOs) of Weslaco, TX and Victor "Mermelada" Cayo (32-4, 23 KOs) of Santo Domingo, DR, should be an action-packed affair.

Stick a fork in Marmalade, no pun intended. He is done. His little Roy Jones Jr. copycat style just didn't cut it. And he has a low punch resistance.

it should be a good fight rob put on a good performance against norberto gonzalez on 12 days notice. he should look even better against Cayo.

excellent. i'm glad we will get to see roberto garcia again he put on a show with short notice last time out. now we will get to see how he looks with normal time to prepare. lets see if cayo can deal with what he brings to the table. i think garcia takes this.

it would seem that way but i don't think their size difference is as exaggerated.
Garcia weighed 154 and took the fight on 12 days notice he weighed in at the Jr middleweight limit. this fight will be at 150 but i think with more than 12 days to prepare Garcia can make his way down to the full welterweight limit.

Fack. Why couldn't they had done this like later in March or early April?! Damn you! Wish I could be there.

More reason to do it later.

Easy W for Garcia. I wonder if he'll be drained at 147 though, he looked big at 154.
