    Nirmal Lorick, the longtime trainer of former champion Luis Collazo (35-5, 18KOs), tells BoxingScene.com that his fighter is ready, willing, and able to face Amir Khan (28-3, 19KOs) as soon as possible.

    Khan, inactive since last April's tough win over Julio Diaz, was a frontrunner to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 3rd. Last week, Mayweather passed him over and selected Marcos Maidana as the pay-per-view opponent.

    Collazo is coming off a very hot win. In January, Collazo did the unexpected by pulling off a one-punch first round knockout of former champion Victor Ortiz at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

      Kind of makes sense. Collazo is a good ww for khan to fight. The brits know collazo because he almost beat (many people think did) Hatton. Hatton beat him and then fought floyd. Khan could do same. Collazo wouldn't cost too much either.

                          Lol man gotta love boxing. Collazo lost to Freddy Hernandez not long ago and because you beat washed up Ortiz, he's a "to guy"? Hilarious. Trainer said Thurman is on track to the top, collazo is already there. I was at the Ortiz fight live a busted out laughing when he called out Floyd. Hey, gotta be in the convo to land the fight I guess. This made my day though

                                  Poor Thurman won't get the exposure until GBP pays a big name to face him. It won't be cheap either because he's putting fear in a lot of the top guys heart
