  • Comments Thread For: Crawford Outlanded Burns 116-30 in Last Five Rounds

Terence Crawford's jab was not accurate (4 of 35 per round), but it was effective, as Ricky Burns managed to land just six punches per round. Crawford outlanded Burns 116-30 over the last five rounds to capture the WBO lightweight title in Glasgow, Scotland.

Is there really a need to further discuss this fight? Burns acknowledges the loss. Crawford was clearly the better man. All I want to know is who's next...

      Why not? It happened yesterday.

Because there's nothing to talk about. Burns got his azz whooped, he admitted it. Crawford really isn't all that entertaining to watch. NEXT!

LOL Crawford is not going to be everyones fancy but no need to take the Burns azzwhooping personal. I did enjoy your impression of Jim Watt but Burns was the one who was refusing to fight. Basically, if Burns had done to Crawford what Crawford did to Burns, you would be praising the Rickster as an all time great.

Can you show me the part where I said I was a Burns fan? Maybe you need your eyes checked because my 4 year old nephew can read better than you...

Of course we have to discuss the fight, it wasn't a cut n' dry loss. Burns didn't show up, obvious mental/spiritual crisis he's facing, though he tried to shrug it off after the fight, saying the better man one, ignoring the fact that he did not turn up AT ALL!

Ever since he got his jaw broke in that 2nd or 3rd round against Beltran he has looked like ****e, wildly slashing his punches and no belief in himself whatsoever. It's painful to watch, he's lost his fire, for whatever reason. Need to re-watch the Gonzales fight to see if that had anything to do with it, I don't remember him under-performing, maybe just his limitations being exposed...

Well if you insist. I don't think it had anything to do with Burns not showing up, he's not in Crawfords class, period. How can one not show up in his own packed hometown? I saw the same ole Burns he just ran into a better slicker fighter as he indicated. Burns didn't make any excuses none should be made for him. There is no version of Burns that would have won that fight, If anything Crawford fought to the level of Burns and left a lot in the tank dude wasn't even tired..

Your ability to argue is around a 4 year old level but ok. You never mentioned you were a Burns fan but i figured you were with how Butt-Hurt you were in your comments. Sorry for the confusion.
