  • Comments Thread For: Burns: We'll See if Crawford Can War at Full Pelt For 12

Ricky Burns says he will thrive as the underdog in his WBO World Lightweight title defence against Terence Crawford at the sold-out SECC in Glasgow tomorrow night, live on Sky Sports.

The Coatbridge star fights in his tenth World title bout against the unbeaten American, who travels to the UK with a 22-0 record with 16 wins inside the distance and the label of the USA’s next big boxing star.

Burns has had a such a great career.

This is a man who was comfortably outpointed by Carl Johansson.

He is the most improved sportsman I can think of. I hope he has made a lot of dough - he is a great role model for all British domestic fighters who have lost a few fights.

        Hope he wins.

I second that..Burns got extra lucky when my man Jose "Cheo" Gonzalez broke his forearm and couldn't continue & Cheo was ahead on all the judges cards in England or Scottland or where the *** that fight was at..

I think it's going to be a closer fight than many think.

I think Crawford will win it. But it might not be easy.
