  • Comments Thread For: Stevenson: Haymon Will Handle Numbers For Kovalev

Adonis Stevenson had a brilliant 2013 campaign, going 4-0 with 4 knockouts and captured the WBC light heavyweight title and the lineal light heavyweight title in the process. Earlier this week, the Haitian fighter sent shock waves throughout the industry when he announced that he had signed a contract with powerful boxing adviser Al Haymon, who is regarded by many as the most powerful man in the sport.

Numbers that will make HBO refuse to give him, that's what I'm thinking

'If the deal makes sense, I will fight him' Hmm...well, so basically you're open to the idea of Haymon pricing you out then Adonis?

Ah dammit, perhaps I'm too cynical...but if this fight doesn't happen I know who I'm blaming.

Stevenson wants that good ass medical treatment when KOvalev puts him in the hospital.

I would love to know if there's a number Stevenson has in mind. It would let us know if he's being realistic about what will make this fight happen or not.

Then again, it's not like Haymon's never made unrealistic happen before.

Hope Stevenson doesn't try to play himself now.... The fight isn't that big now.

Well only other person he can get money from is Hopkins.
HBO could probably set it up where it's PPV in Canada (although I assume it already is).
Then there's Ward.... so we'll see what happens from here. If the Kovalev fight doesn't go off though... pretty obvious what stopped it from happening because they already had a date lined up and intense negotiations from last year to today
