Comments Thread For: Andre Ward: Amir Khan Capable of Giving Anyone Trouble

WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward believes Amir Khan certainly possesses the proper attributes to give any fighter trouble - including the pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Khan, along with Marcos Maidana, are the two frontrunners to face Mayweather on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

I can see an argument made for both fighters. I agree Kahn is the more competitive fight because if his speed. Although Kahn has looked horrible in his past 2 fights. I just think Maidana is too slow. Hope it's Kahn that gets the fight

Amir on his day is a quality fighter and can beat anyone, apart from Mayweather.

The guy's he has trouble with tend to be the guy's who are on the front foot pressing him constantly without any let up. The likes of Garcia, Peterson, Maidana and even Diaz most recently.

The fighters he has performed well against have been the more technical fighters who are fighting at a set pace and not pressing the action. He was so comfortable against Malignaggi and Judah because he was allowed to just hit and move. So in many ways I can see him having his successes against Mayweather, but ultimately only one winner whenever Floyd is in the opposite corner.

Certainly a better opponent than Maidana, could not think of an easier opponent for Floyd (just watch the Baldomir fight again if you want to see the result)
