Unbeaten Miguel “Mikey” Garcia is likely to return to action sometime in June, with or without Yuriorkis Gamboa as an opponent, Top Rank matchmaker Bruce Trampler told Boxingscene.com on Saturday night.

The proposed bout between Garcia and Gamboa was penciled to take place on May 17th at the newly renovated Forum in Inglewood, a suburb of Los Angeles.

It looks as though Top Rank will focus its resources to finalize a proposed bout between Juan Manuel Marquez and Mike Alvarado on that date.

During Mickey's last post fight interview, Robert seemed bothered by Gamboa. He seemed upset and apprehensive that Gamboa was trying to tell the public for a second time that they wanted a fight. I'm not sure if Robert really wants that fight TBH. I think Mickey would take it but his people are trying to steer him away from it. I think they both have a good chance to win.
