  • Comments Thread For: Donaire-Vetyeka Heading To May 10th Date in Macau

After being subjected to endless speculation following his career best win over Indonesian legend Chris John, South Africa's Simpiwe Vetyeka's next fight has taken a clear direction with the news that he will defend his WBA/IBO featherweight crowns against Nonito Donaire in Macao, China on May 10.

The fight will be staged by Top Rank and while the contracts are yet to be signed, it looks like a done deal.

“Yes we have accepted Top Rank's terms and next week we will be flying to the US to sign the contracts,”confirmed Vetyeka's manager Andile Sidinile.

Donaire should win this. He lacked motivation against Darchinyan but a chance at a FW strap he will regain his old form.

This has become a joke. Donaire is ducking the "Axe man" for an easier belt.

"I want your boy..." Yeah right bro.

If Vetyeka pulls this off he's an asian exterminator.

He would be fighting that guy only for the belt as well. Neither man is considered the top 126 lber

Donaire is finished. He got wooped by RiGOD and was losing to Vic.

Probably still has nightmares of Guillermo

Vetyeka is a very underrated fighter and Donaire is the exact opposite. Vetyeka is the bigger man and should take this fight. I can't remember the last time Donaire looked impressive. Maybe the Mathebula fight, but then look what Kiko did to Mathebula.
