Yes he blew it . . . and in my opinion he and his team did that intentionally. Beristain have been in the bloc for a very very long time not to know and understand the trade of the game. HBO puts a budget for a fight . . . which they project would give them a good investment return. Nobody dictates to HBO and it's not Arum's money. That's right. You know this is their bread and butter . . . . and in this business you have to plan all your moves. Experimentations doesn't work at all in any given time because chances doesn't knock at your door twice. Once you lose it, it's gone. That's the reason why fighters hire managers to plan and manage their careers, but most often than not, managers plan how they could earn for themselves and doesn't really care about their figters career. Greedy!

In case of HOPKINS he doesn't have a manager so he cannot blame anybody.
