It isn’t just a 6ft 9in, 18 stone frame that distinguishes Tyson Fury as potentially the biggest superstar in British sport.

After 21 consecutive pro wins, the trigger tongued traveller is on the cusp of challenging for the world heavyweight title and don’t expect the build-up to slip beneath the radar.

Everybody, it seems, harbours an opinion on Fury’s fighting talent and kamikaze mindset – and not all of them are favourable – but Tyson continues to grow bolder with each passing victory.

I don't see how anyone can dislike Fury, he has translated mediocre ability and zero athleticism into a good career so far. He's done it on heart and fighting pride, which is great.

Better than most of these "slick" fighters who are born with all the talent and athletic ability in the world and most of them are quitters and ****

The WBO route may be it then especially cuz Frank Warren has a great working relationship with them Hamed, Calzaghe, Burns, Clev and Macr etc.

I dont understand the criticism vs Fury the guy is hilarious and adds colour to the division and has fought solid opponents considering today's heavyweight scene and is actually a "good" fiter.

You gotta love Fury. He's pure comedy. He said ' I saw Anthony joshua fighting at the Olympics and he lost every fight he had.' He has a shiat trainer lol.

        The rivalry has already started.

Tyson Fury is great for boxing, and HW boxing at that.

          The Joshua line was gold.

People dislike him because of his cockiness and arrogance, which sometimes crosses the line a bit. Add to that that most people still don't feel he's walked the walk in terms of ring performances. He's going to feel like Adrien Broner the day he loses his first fight.

I don't think he's like Broner at all

Fury is tounge in cheek with his humour and pokes fun at himself. Broner is just a scumbag.

you can also guarentee fury will go down fighting and will never roll around on the floor like a ***

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Fury. But sometimes what comes out of his mouth is just... Which is alright, as long as you back it up in the ring. Hopefully, he will be just as self-parodying and will accept it with graciousness when he loses one day.

                  All of this.

Fury is by no means the most talented in the HW division - in fact, he's probably one of the least talented - but he's generating interest. Furthermore, he's taking the training side seriously, which is more than can be said for most 'contenders'.

                  I'm a fan.

I love Fury, he's genuinely hilarious. He's honest & will always be game for a scrap, unlike the scumbag David Haye who is a pathological liar.
